Saab has appointed an outside administrator to oversee its business in North America and the potential wind-down or sale of the company if its parent operations can’t emerge from bankruptcy. The move was announced on Wednesday afternoon by Saab North American COO Tim Holbeck as the company’s future remains uncertain. The Roadster version of Lamborghini’s LP700-4 Aventador will be revealed in Miami next week and debut at the Los Angeles Motor Show. The Lamborghini Aventador – successor to the Murcielago – was revealed by Lamborghini at the start of 2011 before getting a public debut at Geneva 2011, since when we’ve been anticipating the arrival of its Roadster sibling and even had confirmation of the Aventador Roadster from the EPA in the US. But the wait for the Aventador Roadster is now just about over with the news that Lamborghini will be debuting their open-topped Aventador at the Los Angeles Motor Show later this month.
American Robby Gordon continues to hold second place overall at the completion of day three of the 2012 Dakar. Hummer driver Gordon, vying to make up for the delays suffered on Monday, completed the 129 competitive miles between San Rafael and San Juan in the Argentine Andes with the fifth-fastest time. His teammate and defending Dakar champion Nasser Al-Attiyah was third-quickest and moves into sixth position overall, having dropped precious time on day one with a loss of oil pressure.
